I studied voice at the University of Western Ontario (BMus '89) and taught music as a public school teacher for 27 years. As a mentor leader I had extensive training and experience facilitating adult learning. This helps me develop engaging courses, workshops and private lessons.
After a serious back injury I retired from the classroom and started teaching privately. To understand the inner workings of the voice I studied the Estill Voice method, Alexander Technique and the VAM assessment method. I fell in love with voice anatomy and have become a pretty big voice geek!
I currently have students in over 8 countries and teach a variety of workshops to choirs and groups.
I love all my private students and get pure joy from helping them reveal their truest sound.
I am also passionate about choirs. Producing teaching videos, helping conductors understand the best next step for their singers or presenting workshops are all important to me.
Most importantly, I know what you need and the perfect time to introduce it!
